The Women Business Owners program supports the WIT ideal that when one woman helps another amazing things happen. The program brings together women at all stages and sizes of business ownership to share their challenges and successes. An annual theme ties together a series of events where women business owners have the opportunity to learn from experts and explore ideas and challenges in a supportive and safe environment. 

The program is guided by these core beliefs: 

• We believe in a supportive and engaged network for every women business owner
• We believe in fostering active connections
• We believe in paying forward and giving back
• We believe in finding ways to make the dream a reality

Steering Committee

Steering Committee meetings are held one per month via teleconference or in-person. The Steering Committee works to implement the mission and vision of the WBO Program through structured programming, networking, and other events. Steering committee members serve on one or more of the following sub-committees:

• Marketing (including Branding, Social Media, Publishing)
• Events and Networking Committee
• Outreach and Membership (includes Strategic Partnerships)

2025-2026 Program

Our 2025/2026 event series "Pitch Ready" is an extension of the 2024/2025 vision to venture series, in which entrepreneurs pitch their business ideas to a panel that selects one individual or team to receive a monetary award. Learn More.
