The Leadership Awards Committee actively manages all the tasks to make the banquet a success from selecting the award categories to selling tables. The committee meets bi-weekly by teleconference and from time-to-time will meet in person.

Committee Volunteering Opportunities

There are three core areas of activities where we can use your help to make the Leadership Awards a big success:

Event logistics - Manage all aspects of the event from garnering nominations, creating a theme, promoting the event, selecting the venue, devise the banquet program, writing the script and more. Working with other committees to socialize the event.

Nomination and Judging – Shepherd the nomination criteria and process for eligible women in the DC, MD and VA area. Select judges and manage the evaluation process

Sponsorship and Table Sales – Find companies to be sponsors and sell individual tickets to the event. Maintain relationship with sponsor and help ensure sponsors identify event attendees to fill tables.
