Women in Technology (WIT) Announces 2026-2027 Board of Directors

 

Falls Church, Va. – August 3, 2026 – Women in Technology (WIT), the premier organization contributing to the advancement and success of professional women in the Washington, D.C. metro area technology community, today announced its 2026-2027 Board of Directors.

WIT’s leadership team champions women in the technology field at every stage of their careers, empowering the next generation of leaders through resources, connections, and the community needed to thrive. Succeeding Immediate Past President Daphne Wotherspoon is Trish Barber, CEO of 3WaysDigital, an innovation advisory firm.

Barber is a three-time tech-media entrepreneur, CEO, board member, speaker, and author of Why Women Pivot. Her best-selling book reflects her sometimes-successful experience navigating ambition and family adding a perspective that women find affirming and relatable.

“As a non-profit professional development organization for women, our role is more important than ever. Women balancing ambition with career and family need other women to help them thrive,” said Barber. “Our programs serve women at any stage of their career, and members get the most from WIT when they join a committee and work side-by-side with others toward a shared goal. That’s where working relationships form and where women build skills their day-to-day work doesn’t offer. For those short on time, our events are an easy place to start.”

WIT’s leadership team features accomplished technology professionals who are driving the organization’s next phase of growth, with a renewed focus this year on workforce development and expanding pathways into the technology sector for women from entry-level roles to senior leadership positions.
