Twice a year, Women in Technology invite Director level and above women from our panel of sponsors to dine in a small group setting with a female luminary. This intimate gathering brings together some of the most influential women in the tech industry to foster meaningful conversations, share inspiring stories, and create a powerful network of female leaders who are shaping the future of technology. The Luminary Dinner is more than just an event - it is a celebration of the incredible achievements of women in technology. It is an opportunity to be inspired, to learn, and to connect with those who are making a difference in the tech world.

Ms. Kay Kapoor is the CEO of Arya Technologies which provides consulting and advisory services for customized organic and inorganic growth strategies. Customers range from large public companies, to small-disadvantaged businesses, to private-equity investors. Technology expertise is in areas of XaaS, Cyber, AI, and IoT. Currently also serving on public and private boards.

Previously, Kapoor led AT&T’s Global Public Sector organization, a $15 billion sector, that provides technology, communications, and infrastructure solutions to Government and Education customers across Federal, State, and International markets. Achievements include architecting and capturing multibillion dollar contracts across Civilian, Defense, Intelligence, Public Safety and Global markets, including the landmark $40B public-private partnership contract, FirstNet, to build the first-ever nationwide broadband network for first responders.

Prior, Kapoor served as Chairman and CEO of Accenture Federal Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Accenture LLC, leading 3,000 members of their U.S. federal business. Before that, she worked at Lockheed Martin Corporation for 20 years leading complex organization units and government/regulatory relations. She ultimately served as vice president and COO of Lockheed Martin’s $4 billion, 13,000 employee unit, Information Systems & Global Services - Civil.

Kapoor is the recipient of numerous government and industry awards. Kapoor is active in academia, including a seat on the Dean’s Council of Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government and the Dean’s Council at Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School. Kapoor earned a master’s degree in business from Johns Hopkins University complemented by executive programs at MIT and Harvard. She earned her bachelor’s degree in information systems from the University of Maryland.


 

Mile Corrigan serves as president and CEO of Noblis where she sets the corporate business strategy and overall science and technology priorities for solving complex problems that benefit the public and advance federal government missions. In this capacity, she directs and oversees research programs, business and technology investments, and cultivates strategic partnerships that fuel the company’s innovation pipeline. Corrigan previously served as the company’s executive vice president (EVP), overseeing the strategic direction of its overall scientific, technical, financial and administrative activities.

Corrigan earned a Master of Business Administration from Georgetown University and a bachelor’s degree in management science and information technology from Virginia Polytechnic and State University. She currently serves on the Northern Virginia Technology Council, the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce, and the Virginia Tech College of Engineering.


 

 

Barbara Humpton is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Siemens USA, a role she has held since June 2018. She is responsible for overseeing the company's core businesses in the U.S., which include electrification, automation, and digitalization, contributing significantly to the infrastructure and industrial sectors.

Before her current position, Humpton served as Chief Operating Officer of Siemens Government Technologies, Inc., where she managed critical programs and projects for the federal government. She has over three decades of experience in the technology and defense industries, having held executive roles at Booz Allen Hamilton, Lockheed Martin, and IBM.

Humpton is known for her leadership in driving Siemens' vision of combining the physical and digital worlds for a sustainable future. She is an advocate for workforce development, STEM education, and diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Humpton holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Wake Forest University.


 

Anne Altman is a seasoned executive known for her extensive career at IBM, where she held several key leadership positions. During her tenure at IBM, she served as General Manager of the U.S. Federal Government and Industries, where she led the company's business with federal agencies and other industries. Altman played a crucial role in advancing IBM's public sector business and developing solutions that leveraged IBM's technology to meet the needs of government clients.

With over 30 years at IBM, Altman has a deep understanding of the intersection between technology and government operations. She has been instrumental in driving innovations in areas such as cloud computing, cybersecurity, and analytics. Altman is also recognized for her efforts in promoting women in technology and leadership.

Since retiring from IBM, Altman has continued to contribute to the tech industry through advisory roles and board memberships, bringing her wealth of experience to various organizations. She is a graduate of George Mason University, where she earned a degree in marketing.


 

Tiffanny Gates is a prominent leader in the technology and national security sectors, serving as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Novetta. Under her leadership, Novetta has become a leading provider of advanced analytics and cybersecurity solutions for defense, intelligence, and federal law enforcement agencies.

Before joining Novetta, Gates held various leadership roles at BAE Systems, where she contributed significantly to the company's growth in the intelligence and security sector. Her career also includes service as a cryptologic officer in the United States Navy, where she gained valuable experience in intelligence and cybersecurity operations.

Gates is known for her strategic vision and commitment to leveraging advanced technology to solve complex challenges. She has a strong background in engineering and a deep understanding of the needs of the national security community.

Gates holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland. She is actively involved in industry organizations and initiatives that promote innovation and collaboration within the technology and defense sectors.
