Accelerate(her) Presents: The Confidence to Influence: A Leadership Competency for Women In Tech
Thursday, October 01, 2026, 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM EDT
Category: Accelerate(her)

As technology continues to evolve, technical expertise alone is not enough to create influence. Women in tech must also be able to communicate their ideas, advocate for their expertise, navigate change, and contribute confidently in the rooms where decisions are made.

In this practical session, Sheena Yap Chan introduces Human Readiness and the VISIBLE™ Framework - Voice, Identity, Spotlight, Inner Work, Belief, Leverage, and Elevation - as tools for strengthening leadership presence and influence in technical environments.

Attendees will explore how confidence and visibility impact communication, collaboration, career growth, and leadership opportunities. Through practical strategies and reflection, participants will learn how to make their expertise more visible, speak with greater clarity, and build credibility without changing who they are.

Participants will leave with actionable tools they can immediately apply to meetings, presentations, stakeholder conversations, and leadership opportunities as technology and the workplace continue to evolve.

Learning Objectives
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Identify Human Readiness and visibility gaps that may limit their ability to communicate expertise and influence decisions.
  • Apply strategies from the VISIBLE™ Framework to strengthen leadership presence, communicate ideas with greater confidence, and increase professional visibility.
  • Develop practical approaches for contributing more effectively in meetings, navigating change, advocating for ideas, and positioning themselves for greater leadership opportunities.
