This one-hour interactive will explore how individuals can thrive in the emerging “white space” of the Fourth Industrial Revolution by embracing technology as a partner in personal leadership, learning and development. 71% of US Adults are fearful that AI will replace their jobs permanently (Reuters, 2025). Yet experts have proven that those who learn to adapt and work with it will be empowered to thrive. In this talk, Celina Mattocks provides Virtual Reality (VR) related examples in sports, media and the future of learning in corporate training. From Jayden Daniels, NFL quarterback of the Washington Commanders, to Simba from Disney’s The Lion King, and her personal story as an instructional designer (trainer) overcoming professional hurdles in the tech age, Celina Mattocks shows how we can evolve alongside emerging technology. The discussion will expand on Celina’s recent TedX Talk at Montgomery College (published on YouTube January 2026 – click to watch)
