Speakers

Assel Ayapova is proven project management professional with 15 years of experience managing innovative Industrial, Construction and Development initiatives across the globe. Assel currently serves as the Global Drone and Robotics Program Director at AES Corporation, a Fortune 500 energy company, where she leads the Innovative and Strategic Global Program within 100 AES businesses and managing a team of 600 people among 14 countries.

She is responsible for program governance and planning, as well technology research, utilization, and cross-functional activities to integrate and expand the use of drone/robotics applications across AES globally to improve safety and performance. Under her leadership the AES Global Drone and Robotics Program has achieved incredible results, included saving more than 210,000 hours of hazardous work and providing $30M in financial benefits that included cost savings in labor and incremental asset performance.

Assel is an experienced panelist and speaker, having appeared at events including the UAV Expo, Energy Drone Summit, InterDrone, AUVSI Xponential, UNECE Women Entrepreneurs and Information – Communication Technologies International Business Forum, and WeDC Fest. She is has also authored award-winning papers recognized at the Fifth World Association for Sustainable Development International Conference.

As an Ambassador for Science and Innovation of the International Organization, “Expo and Woman”, Assel is taking an active role in mentoring Kazakhstani young women in STEM fields. She also serves as an Advisory Board Member at Energy Drone and Robotics Coalition, and is currently pursing her Executive MBA Degree at Duke University, Fuqua School of Business.


Rachel Bradshaw has over 12 years of technology experience, working with a mix of software and cloud companies. Over the last 3.5 years, she has launched two (2) new services and five (5) global programs at Amazon Web Services (AWS). Currently, she works in Global Business Development for the Internet of Things (IoT), leading AWS's Agriculture vertical.
