Denise Haselhorst is Chief People Officer at Blackboard, where she is responsible for managing the company’s global HR function. Denise oversees the planning, development, implementation and administration of all HR strategies and programs.

Denise partners with executives across Blackboard to identify and develop the necessary top-quality talent to evolve the business and advance the company mission.” Since joining the company, Denise has helped Blackboard grow from 300 employees to over 2,400 employees. Denise has been responsible for the people integration strategies associated to 25+ acquisitions

Prior to joining Blackboard in 2004, Denise worked for American Management System and, the University of Michigan.  Denise holds a Master of Arts in personnel management from American University’s Kogod School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of Michigan.  Denise serves on the Finance Committee for The Langley School in McLean, Virginia.
