Young Professionals Special Interest Group

Mission and Overview:

The Women in Technology Young Professionals SIG welcomes all ages and focuses on the needs of women in the first 10 years of their career as they ascend the professional ladder into leadership positions. This group focuses on the unique professional needs of young professional women seeking to navigate all aspects of tech. Not to mention, we think working in tech should be fun and rewarding!

We offer networking, mentoring and educational opportunities focused on helping WIT members navigate the challenges of a new professional career and preparing members for a long, happy and successful career.

We've divided the year into trimesters and each trimester is themed and will consist of at least a happy hour, a professional development event, and a social event. Members are encouraged to join committees to help organize these and any other programs throughout the term. We have some really great programming already in the works but also welcome ideas for other events. Please join us!!

Upcoming Events:

The theme for first trimester is NonTraditional Tech! Featuring the following events.

The second trimester is fast approaching!! The theme is Power Plays! This trimester will feature events focused on empowering young professionals to take charge of their careers. Check back for more information on the featured events:

•    Power Hour Happy Hour
•    #WITEmpowerHer Summit

Check the WIT calendar for details and registration for these and other events!
Last, please reach out and ask about joining our listserve!!
**What is a Member Perk event? We like to make our programming accessible to members and nonmembers alike but periodically we like to thank our members for their commitment by offering special events or experiences that are exclusively for WIT members. Join so you can attend them all!
