Member Benefits – Special Programs & Committees

  • The Leadership Foundry- Prepares women to serve on corporate boards in the Washington, D.C. area. Structured as a nine-month program, it includes an intensive board training session in cooperation with the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), dinner and monthly training and networking events.
  • Girls in Technology (GIT) - Works to inspire girls in grades 4 to 12 toward successful careers in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines through engagement with women executives in STEM-related fields and STEM experiences.
  • STEM for HER - Formerly known as Women in Technology Education Foundation, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation, based in the Maryland, Virginia, and Washington D.C. area that promotes education to create awareness, excitement, and opportunities among girls and young women to pursue successful STEM-related careers.
  • WIT Committees – Thirteen Committees offer Members many opportunities to get involved, share experiences and develop new skills. Joining a Committee is a great way to maximize the value of your membership.
