Opportunity for talented WIT members: Entry level to senior level management and CEOs
Each year WIT holds two Mentoring Programs. Program 25 is underway through November 2010. We are currently accepting applications for Program 26 through the WIT web site at http://www.womenintechnology.org/mp. Women interested in participating as a Protégé or Mentor can apply via the web.
The program provides an excellent networking opportunity for career path (protégé) and senior (mentor) women. The program framework is "Women Mentoring Women."

The goal of the Ambassadors Program is to welcome new and prospective members at WIT events and increase their understanding of WIT. Your involvement as an Ambassador can be tailored to your availability and specific needs.

WITEF Fact
Women own 40 percent of the private businesses in the United States, according to the Center for Women’s Business Research. But they create only 8 percent of the venture-backed tech start-ups, according to Astia, a nonprofit group that advises female entrepreneurs. In the DC metro area there are only a handful of female entrepreneurs who have raised venture funding and all are or have been affiliated with Women in Technology. Let’s work together to increase that number.
