Heroines in Technology Gala on November 13
Women in Technology and the March of Dimes will host the ninth annual Heroines in Technology Gala on Friday, November 13, at the Hyatt Regency Reston in Reston, Va. The black-tie gala recognizes women and women-run businesses for their exemplary commitment to community service. Girls in Technology Team Business Event on September 12
Girls in Technology welcomes participants from McKinley Technology High School in Washington, D.C. to its annual Team Business Fundraiser simulation program. This event is sponsored by Symantec Corporation and will be presented free to girls from this high school. Additional details can be found on the Girls in Technology web site.

New Member Orientation
WIT is holding a New and Prospective Member Reception prior to the September WIT.Connect. This meeting is targeted to: new members who have joined; other members who have never attended a new member orientation; and anyone who is considering joining WIT and would like learn more about our organization (feel free to bring a friend!).
Agenda:
5:00 - 5:30 p.m. – Networking with WIT SIGs and Committee representatives to learn about their activities and how you can get involved
5:30 – 5:45 p.m. – Brief presentation on what WIT has to offer and introduction of Board of Directors
5:45 – 6:00 p.m. – More networking
6:00 pm - Break for WIT.Connect (Registration and Payment Required for WIT.Connect/Technology Expo).

This special event will focus on the launch of the Bunyan Book and will include a reception, book signing and panel discussion with Maureen Bunyan and several of the profiled women in the book. Additional details coming soon.
