Girls in Technology Committee

Meeting Time and Location:
8:00 AM on the second Friday of every month
Deloitte & Touche LLP, 1750 Tysons Blvd (8th Floor), McLean, VA

Overview/Mission:
The GIT committee supports and initiates programs to foster technology, math and science, interest in elementary, middle and high school girls (particularly in underserved communities).  We hope to raise funding to create tangible programs to support these efforts, which would include, but not be limited t scholarships, mentoring, hands on computer training, speakers and other types of support.

Volunteering Opportunities:

·      Individuals motivated to share their skills and passion for technology with girls
·      Speakers and mentors for GIT programs.  Time commitment 2-3 hours per quarter.
·      Individuals who can help introduce the Committee Chair to firms that would make excellent partners/advocates for GIT
·      Individual with web development skills who can update the www.girlsintechnology.org site once a month.  Time commitment 1-3 hours per month.
·      Fundraising Chair.  Time commitment 3-5 hours per month.
