Technology SIG
Meeting Time and Location:
Meeting times and locations vary throughout the year; to accommodate everyones schedule, morning, lunchtime, and evening events are offered.
Mission:
The mission of the Technology SIG is to put the "T" (Technology) into WIT.
Overview:
Focuses on specific information technology issues. This group will bring in speakers on hot topics in the industry to share latest trends and predictions for where technology is going and the potential impacts of new innovations. Ideally, programs will be conducted at local company facilities, giving participants the opportunity to get exposure to the environment of other firms.
Goals for Year:
· Identify topics and speakers compelling enough to support at least 40 participants at each session and generate revenue.
· Provide a competitive venue for the publication of WIT member technical papers via the Technology Journal.
· Provide an on-line forum for discussion amongst Technology SIG members.
· Create a "win-win" situation where corporations can showcase specific technologies or approaches they are particularly excited about to an audience of technically savvy individuals who may represent future business opportunities.

Technology Journal The Technology Journal is an on-line journal that allows WIT members the opportunity to write about and share their technical expertise and provides a platform for WIT to showcase its technical membership.

2005 Technology Journal Call for Abstracts
Ready to get that author credit you've always wanted? The Technology SIG is now accepting article abstracts for the second WIT Technology Journal. The Technology SIG reviewing committee is especially interested in receiving abstracts covering emerging technologies and complex project management practices. Abstracts are peer-reviewed. Article publication in the WIT Technology journal is by invitation only.
