WIT Leadership Awards Sponsors
Each year WIT honors extraordinary women with the WIT Leadership Awards, which this year will take place on May 20, 2010 at the Ritz Carlton, Tysons Corner. This marquee event draws upon WIT’s spirit to honor women who are pioneers in their organizations and in the local technology community, and are leaders in the truest sense of the word.
All of the proceeds of the Leadership Awards will go to the Women in Technology Education Foundation (WITEF), an extraordinary program that encourages young girls to develop and pursue interests in science and technology. WITEF has helped hundreds of girls in the Metropolitan DC area through programs and resources that include mentors, speakers, field trips, curriculum development, and Career Days. WITEF also provides grants to schools and community organizations as well as individual scholarships.
