CALL FOR LEADERSHIP NOMINATIONS

Deadline for Nominations is April 7

The Women in Technology (WIT) Board established a Nominating Committee to identify WIT Board and Leadership Candidates. The Committee has established guidelines for elections as required by the by-laws*. The guidelines include a call for nominations to the WIT membership.

WIT is committed to seeking qualified leaders to fill positions as they become available and to provide succession planning for current leadership positions. The Board and Nominating Committee members will continue to reach out to the Special Interest Groups (SIGs) and Committees to enlist their support and assistance. The SIGs and Committees are building leadership succession into their processes and encourage qualified steering committee members and others WIT members to apply for leadership positions.

We strive to identify qualified leadership and board candidates who have the qualities, skills and abilities that will allow WIT to thrive and move to the next level. Leadership candidates should have the following qualities, skills and abilities:

A demonstrated commitment to Women in Technology
The ability to devote the necessary time and energy to the position
Demonstrated leadership skills
Collaborative and group skills
Communication skills

The Nominating Committee is soliciting nominations for future and currently open positions which include Board of Directors and WIT committees/special interest groups leadership.
