WDC-Ready to Work-Winning in the Interview

Winning in the Interview

Your resume may get you the interview, but how will you distinguish yourself from other candidates vying for the same position? Knowing how to emphasize your strongest points to ensure you’ll be remembered is key for you to stand out in the crowd. Join us to learn 10 types of information hiring managers are looking for in a typical interview and develop themes that you can continually refer to so you’ll be more in control of the process.

Ready to Work consists of an encouragement network hour, led by Ardell Fleeson, followed by a job search skills practicum, facilitated by Workforce Development Committee member and Certified Career Coach, Judy Brannock. Each session includes tips, observations, realities, good news, and food for thought for the job seeker. Guest speakers, those with expertise in the job search and human resources areas and those who have recently found work, often address the group to share keys to their success. Participants will have the opportunity to share recent challenges and achievements.
